TWIG lone worker alarm feature range just extended with new Wi-Fi communication options. By selecting required device options, the new TWIG lone worker alarm enables VoIP calls and data transfer over Wi-Fi. 

TWIG lone worker alarms compatible with Wi-Fi communications 

The new 2-way voice over Wi-Fi and protocol (MPTP) over Wi-Fi functionality is available for compatible TWIG lone worker alarm device types as firmware release 2.010. View the product page of your preferred device model to check available option combinations.

VoIP calls and data transfer over Wi-Fi are supported by device options mobile network 2G/3G/4G or Wi-Fi only. Also the SRD3 option is necessary for Wi-Fi communications compatibility.

Wi-Fi only 

By selecting Wi-Fi only option instead of mobile network, your TWIG device version communicates only over Wi-Fi network. Communication over mobile network is not possible and SIM card is not needed. The Wi-Fi only version of TWIG device is delivered without GNSS.

Wi-Fi and 2G/3G/4G mobile networks

TWIG lone worker alarm device model with mobile network 2G/3G/4G option selects the available connection depending on its availability. The connection priority selection between Wi-Fi and mobile networks can be configured with device settings.

VoIP calls over Wi-Fi

The Wi-Fi communications compatible TWIG personal alarms support VoIP calls via 3rd party application and data transfer over Wi-Fi. Only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network is supported. VoIP calls by using TWIG Point as SIP server are possible from device to device or from device to VoIP Client. VoIP calls to normal phone numbers are possible via 3rd party services.
