In September 2025, authorised TWIG partners from across Europe travelled to Finland to join our annual TWIG Partner Days. This year’s theme, “Design and Technology Made in Finland,” came to life through three key elements: design, technology, and partnership.

The first day was all about coming together. We gathered in the historic surroundings of Billnäs Ironworks, where the program opened with an excellent presentation on Finnish design by Antti Mäkelä from Aivan. His talk illustrated how design thinking, simplicity, and functionality are deeply woven into Finnish culture — the same values that inspire TWIG devices today.

Later, we also enjoyed a taste of Finnish leisure culture by playing Mölkky, a traditional outdoor skittle game that added a playful twist to the day and strengthened the team spirit. Day One was then closed with a get-together dinner, rounding off a warm and collaborative start to the event.

On the next day our program continued in Fiskars Village, a world-renowned centre of Finnish design and creativity. There, we walked through TWIG strategy, product road-map, the TWIG partner program, and took part in a co-creation workshop. Surrounded by the legacy of Finnish craftsmanship, the sessions highlighted how technology and partnership go hand in hand in shaping the next generation of lone worker safety solutions.

The workshop could have continued with interesting discussions and information sharing for hours — but the planned activities in the beautiful surroundings of Fiskars couldn’t wait. One group went fishing on the lakeshore, another set off e-biking, a third explored their creativity with glass blowing, while the fourth chose a more relaxed pace, following the tree species path on a walk through the village.

After the activities, we started to slowly walk toward the Knife Factory, to taste local beers and view the Fiskars design taps. It was a touching moment: the walkers were first on the path, soon joined in the middle by the glass blowers, while the bikers passed at high speed to finish their tour. Before reaching the Knife Factory, the fishers finally caught up with the group. Everyone seemed happy — the relaxed and joyful moments in smaller groups had naturally come together into one big shared experience.

Day Two closed with a memorable dinner at Kuparipaja, where the atmosphere of the old copper smithy created a perfect backdrop for conversations and laughter that carried late into the evening.

The third and final day was dedicated to focused partner meetings. These one-to-one sessions gave us the chance to dive deeper into each partner’s specific questions, explore opportunities, and strengthen our collaboration for the future.

More than presentations, TWIG Partner Days 2025 was about shared experiences. We built connections, exchanged insights, and strengthened the community that drives innovation in lone worker safety.

With its theme “Design and Technology Made in Finland,” TWIG Partner Days 2025 highlighted what TWIG stands for: functional design, robust technology, and reliable solutions — always developed together with our authorised partners. Guided by design, technology, and partnership, we continue to shape the future of lone worker safety worldwide.
